I saw this musical live and I loved it. I wanted to see it again but then Covid happened. The only thing bad about the musical was that I saw it with Kaleb. So when I heard they made a movie I had to see it. It started off with Evan Hansen writing a letter to himself. He wasn't doing very good though. His mom asked him if he had started a letter to himself. She said to ask the other kids to sign his cast and maybe he will make some friends. He is a senior in high school. The song he is singing is, "Waving Through a Window". He goes to school and asks his "friend" Jared to sign his cast. Jared says no because they are family friends not actual friends. Then Conner Murphy was at his locker. The jocks made fun of Conner and Evan smiled at him. Conner screamed at him and walked away. Then Conner's sister, Zoe, comes up to Evan and apologizes for him. Evan went to the computer lab to write out his letter to himself. Conner came up and signed his cast. He said, "Now we can pretend to both have friends." But then he took Evan's letter. He tried to get it back but Conner wouldn't. He was so worried that Conner was going to post it or spread it somehow. 3 days had by and he hadn't heard anything. But then Evan was called to the principal's office. The principal told him that Conner's parents were there to talk to him. They told him that Conner had taken his own life and they found a note addressed to Evan. He read it and realized that the note was the note he wrote to himself that Conner had taken. He tried to explain to them that he wrote the note but they wouldn't listen. So they started to think that Evan and Conner had been friends. So he went to their house one night for dinner. He told then how they went to the apple orchard and got ice cream. This is where the song "For Forever" comes in. I personally love this song. Evan told them they had exchanged emails and hung out. So Jared and Evan wrote emails to make it seem like Evan and Conner were friends. This is where the song "Sincerely, Me" plays. This song is so funny and it puts into light the type of people Evan and Jared are. When Conner's parents and Zoe read them they got really emotional. Zoe didn't know why she should be sad about her brother's death after never being there for her. She sings, "Requiem" and it's beautiful. Larry Murphy, the father, sang about how he did his best but it wasn't enough. Larry wasn't Conner's actual father. He had taken care of him since he was 3. Zoe invited Evan over to eat some pie. She asked him why Conner had written that letter. Evan sings "If I Could Tell Her" and this is just a cover up because he actually likes her. The next day at school Alana asks Evan to pitch a campaign idea to Conner's parents. She wanted to start The Conner Project. This is to show that everyone's life matters. They want to keep Conner's legacy alive. She sings, "The Anonymous Ones" which tells about how mental illness doesn't make someone weird. Evan told Conner's parents about the Conner Project and they loved the idea. Alana, Jared, and Evan were going to pitch it to the school. Evan was going to do a speech and it was difficult because he has social anxiety. He knocks over the mic and everyone was going to laugh and film him. He instead gets up and starts to sing, "You Will Be Found". The Conner Project blew up. Zoe and Evan sort of fell for each other. They sing the song "Only Us" which is about their love. Evan told Zoe that he didn't know if he could go to college because lack of money. Zoe told her parents so they invited Evan and his mom to dinner. They brought up that they had money stored away for Conner but they want to give it to Evan. Evan's mom flipped out saying they don't need help and left. Alana wants to rename the orchard the Conner Murphy Orchard. They needed to raise $100,000 in order to do that. They raised about $75,000 but that isn't enough. Alana asked Evan if he was making everything up. Evan of course denied it. She didn't believe him so he showed her the letter he brought to himself, which is believed to be Conner's suicide note. This made her believe him. He told her not to share it with anyone. Later Alana saw that there was only 2 days left to raise enough money. So she posts the letter. This raises a little money but brings more hate. Comments came up saying "why would Conner write to his best friend and not his parents" or "I would kill myself if they were my parents too" or "why are these rich parents asking for money". This makes the Murphy family look really bad. Evan goes to the Murphy's and explains that him and Conner were never actually friends. He sings "Words Fail". The Murphy's were beside themselves and asked Evan to leave. He goes home and tells his mom that the reason he broke his arm was because he tried to kill himself by jumping out of a tree. She sings, "So Big, So Small" which I think is so sad. She tells him she will always be there for him and she won't leave like his dad. So Evan goes on instagram and posts that he faked everything and not to give the Murphy's backlash. From then on he goes into the yearbook and finds Conner. He see's the list of Conner's favorite books. Evan reads every book. He tries to find as much information about Conner he can find. He graduates and he doesn't care what other people think of him. He gets a video of Conner at rehab playing a guitar and singing. That song is "A Little Closer" and it really made me tear up. He sent this video on a flash drive to Alana, the Murphy's and Jared. Mrs. Murphy and Zoe were crying watching this video and so was I. Evan met Zoe at the orchard. She told him that she wishes they would have met now and not before. He asks her why she wanted to meet him there. She told him because she wanted him to see Conner's favorite place. The scene changes to Evan sitting at a picnic table with the "Conner Murphy Orchard" sign behind him. He looks out at the orchard and that's where the movie ends. I really loved this movie even though they took out some of the songs, I still loved it.

Again I'm back with the true crime. This was very intriguing to me because it's about the first woman serial killer who is also a lesbian. So of course well I had to watch it. Aileen Wuornos, a prostitute, who falls in love with this girl Selby. They hit it off from the beginning. The only issue is that Selby lives in a very Catholic household and being gay just isn't an option. So Lee (Aileen) told her she was going to make money and get them a hotel. She works on the highway and was picked up by a guy. They drove into the woods and she wouldn't do what he wanted so he beat her unconscious. While unconscious he raped her. When Lee came to she was able to get free and in self defense before he could kill her, she shot him and killed him. This is very much the turning point of the story. So after that she promised Selby she was going to find a real job. Of course no one would hire her because she had a record, didn't finish high school and was a prostitute. Selby was demanding food, a place to live and vacations away. In my opinion she was asking for way too much from Lee. So with no luck in the job business, Lee turns back to working the highways. But his time things have changed. Now when she would get picked up, in fear of being raped and beaten, she would get the money from them then kill them. Then she would take their cars. Selby had crashed one of the cars. Lee told her they needed to run but Selby didn't understand why. If the cops came they would realize the car was stolen. The only issue was there were witnesses. They got back to their room and Lee told Selby about how she killed the guys. Selby was in shock and angry but Lee told her that there was no way she could be connected in any way. Lee just couldn't stop killing. There was one guy who she took to the woods. She pulled the gun but the guy was pleading for his life. She said she didn't want to but she had no choice because he saw her and would turn her in. She was in a state of panic and she shot him. Then she broke down crying. She went back and got Selby a ticket out of town and money. Selby got on the bus while Lee went to the bar. Her sketch was all over the news but she didn't really care. The guy at the bar was friends with her and recognized that it was her on the tv. He called the police and they came and arrested her. While in prison Lee calls Selby. Over this phone call, Selby gets Lee to say everything she did and that Selby had nothing to do with any of it. Then it pans to Selby in the room with the cops with a phone tap listening to the conversation. SELBY LITERALLY BETRAYED LEE. SHE LITERALLY THREW HER UNDER THE BUS. Then at Lee's court hearing, Selby testifies against her with Lee's permission. She told her that she would not be associated with the murders and she wasn't Aileen was sentenced to death and executed by the state of Florida and became the first female serial killer. I really didn't think that's how the first woman serial killer came to be but here we are. I really enjoyed this movie. Charlize Theron, who plays Aileen, looked identical to Aileen in real life. The resemblance is uncanny. I would watch this movie again and I recommend it.
I went on this true crime binge. Charlie says is about Charles Manson and his followers. The story starts out with Lulu washing blood off of her face after the LaBianca murders. Three years later Lulu, Katie, and Sadie were in a special security prison, California Institution of Women. These aren't their real names, they are the names Manson had given them. Karlene Faith is a teacher who was assigned to teach the girls. They were very kind to her. She gets to know them and comes to learn the beliefs that Charles had made them believe. They love him and only speak good of him. The film goes to Lulu's introduction into the "family" of Charlie at Spahn Ranch. Gypsy brings Lulu to the ranch. Katie becomes Lulu's mentor. Charlie's followers let go of their egos, live in the now, and be free about sex. Drugs are required of everyone. The main drug used was pot. Everyone was just very loving to each other. At this point I didn't see anything wrong with Charlie but I knew that wouldn't last long. Later that night Lulu had witnessed this scene with Sandy and Charlie. He tore down her personality and relationship with her parents in front of everyone. He gave her a new perception of herself and then they "sealed it" as a group. Lulu tells Karlene that all girls should have a dad like Charlie. Of course Karlene thinks they have been brainwashed and I see why. At times Charlie would send the girls out to dive through dumpsters for food. He would also oversee family orgies. He has a set of rules for everyone. Women are not allowed to hold money, they can't serve themselves foos until the men had served themselves. He didn't comfort a crying member and Lulu asked why. He says that the members are trying to let go of their materialistic possessions and get rid of their egos. He then has sex with Lulu. HE TOLD HER TO THINK OF IT LIKE MAKING LOVE TO HER DADDY!!! THAT'S DISGUSTING!!!! Lulu tends to question Charlie. A guy came and told Lulu that he can take her away from that place and she would never have to go back. She hesitated slightly but ultimately said no. Charlie then took her to a cliff and said, "If you want to leave me then jump." She didn't jump and that's how he knew she was loyal to him. He believes that the Book of Revelation is saying that he will lead mankind after a revolution caused by a race war. Lulu, Katie, and Sadie tell Karlene about how they will wait out in the revolution in a bottomless pit and when it's over some will become winged elves and fly to the surface. Karlene tried to get them to realize that's not possible but they refused. They then shaved their heads in protest. Dennis Wilson, a guitar player, told Charlie that The Beach Boys will record one of his songs, Cease to Exist. Of course Charlie thought he was going to famous. He has 3 girls as his back up singers and they must practice till it's right. When the producer, Terry Melcher, watches he is taken aback by the backup dancers stripping. He isn't impressed and doesn't sign him. Charlie is upset but doesn't tell anyone. He later beats Sadie. So instead of music he moves to violence. He decides to start preaching about the race war. This is wear white people will kill people and blame African Americans for it. This is called "Helter Skelter." He trains everyone. Everyone must be willing to die. Sadie and Tex go to Terry Melcher's old house, now occupied by Sharon Tate and kill the residents of the home. After the Tate Murders, Charlie tells Tex, Katie, and Lulu to commit the LaBianca murders. Tex, just following what Charlie said, thinks he can be invisible whenever he wants. Karlene is trying to get Lulu, Sadie and Katie to remember who they were before Charlie. Time goes by and Lulu realized what she did was wrong. Leslie is still In prison. Sadie (Susan) never reverted back to her old self and died from brain cancer. Lulu realized what she did was wrong and felt awful for everything she did. I really enjoyed this movie and I feel like it was very real.
I saw this movie on TikTok and it looked really interesting. The movie started with this 911 operator, Jordan, who was on the phone with this girl who's house was broken into. She was hiding under the bed and the intruder had left. The call failed and Jordan made the mistake and called her back. This caused her phone to ring and the intruder came back and took her and killed her. Jordan blamed herself for everything. This girl, Casey, was taken in a parking garage and put into the trunk of a car. She called 911 and an operator picked up. She didn't know how to handle the situation so Jordan took over. She calmed Casey down and got her to talk about where she was. Jordan was trying to get Casey to somehow open the trunk or alert someone around them about her situation. She was able to punch out the tail light and wave her hand around. This woman who saw this called 911 and told them of the location. She said let me get next to the car and get a description. They told her no but she didn't listen. The guy saw this and sped off the nearest exit. Jordan tells Casey to open the paint cans in the trunk and pour them out the tail light to make a trail for the police. When he stopped at a red light the guy next to him told him about the paint. The guy pulled over, Alan Denado, and started threatening Casey. This guy came over to him and asked him if he needed any help cleaning up. The kidnapper said no so Alan walked away and called the police because he matched the description. As he was about to call the police he was beaten with a shovel that was in the back of the kidnappers car. Then he steals Alan's car and puts both Casey and him in the trunk. Casey wakes up and sees Alan and freaks out. Alan wakes up and starts screaming. Casey tries to calm him down saying the guy will hear him but he doesn't listen. The guy then pulls over and kills Alan. Casey thought she was going to die so told Jordan to record a message for her mom. The guy sees he is low on gas and pulls into a gas station. While he is getting gas, Casey pushes out the center seat and screams for help from the gas attendant. The man tries to help her but the kidnapper pours gasoline on him and lights him on fire. He then punches Casey to unconsciousness. Paul, a detective, gets a positive ID on the kidnapper. His name is Michael Foster. They go to his house and talk to his wife. They find a shrine to his dead sister and find out that he has a cabin in San Clarita Hills. They head up there. Foster parks the car and opens the trunk to find Casey holding her cellphone. Jordan begs Foster not to hurt Casey and he said, "It's already done." Jordan realizes that his is the guy that killed the girl seen at the beginning of the movie. Foster hangs up the phone. Jordan goes to the cabin and finds a replicated room of his sister's. She finds wigs and sees that they are the scalps of Foster's victims. Foster had been killing girls to reenact his sister's death. Jordan finds Casey strapped to a table. She smashes Foster's head and starts to undue Casey. He regains consciousness and tries to attack her. Casey was able to stab him in the back and he was unconscious. They strap him to a wheelchair. They told him their story of Casey's finding. She found her wondering in the woods and Foster will be forgotten forever. They leave Foster chained to the chair and let him die there where no one can hear him. I really liked this movie because I'm really into true crime and stuff like that. I would recommend this movie.
I had to watch a movie and with prom I didn't have time. So here I am at 10 PM trying to find a movie. I found this movie on HBO Max. It looked interesting so I started watching it. I'M SO GLAD I DID BECAUSE IT WAS SO GOOD. It starts off Jack and Patrick going to this house of this guy who has dirt on the government and congressmen. I knew an explosion was coming because there was a dog barking and I learned when there is a dog barking in the distance something bad is about to happen. When Owen, the father of Conner, found out about the explosion he ran. Conner was confused and he kept asking his dad. His dad wouldn't say anything until they started getting shot at. Jack and Patrick were out to kill Owen because he also had the dirt on the government and congressmen. They were shooting at the car and it went off the road. Owen gave Conner the paper with all the secrets on it and told him to run and hide. He did so and Owen was killed. THEN THEY STARTED A FOREST FIRE. Ethan Sawyer is a cop in town. He sees a woman shot in her car and Owen's car off the road. Meanwhile Hannah, who is a fire jumper, is in a tower because she is suffering PTSD. She was in a wildfire and had to watch 3 kids die. She relives that moment everyday so she couldn't work. Hannah finds Conner running and went to help him. He was reluctant at first as anyone would be but eventually followers her back to the tower. He wouldn't eat or talk. She asks him if he was in some sort of trouble. He asked her if he couldn't trust her, because his dad told him to find someone he can trust. Conner gave her the paper his dad gave him. She reads it and they have to leave immediately. While leaving they had to run across a lighting field. She was struck by lightning. They had to go back to the tower. Jack and Patrick go to Ethan's house because they think he knows where Conner is. The only person there is Allison, his wife. She's 6 months pregnant and they are threatening her. She doesn't know anything but they think she does. She burns them and tried to kill them but didn't secede but she did get away. Ethan gets there and they hold him hostage. They make him find Conner or else they will kill Allison. They make it to the tower where Hannah and Conner are. Hannah and Conner see then and identify them as the ones who killed his dad. Ethan was sent up to search the tower and Jack and Patrick see him talking to them. They start shooting at the tower. Hannah and Conner escape and are followed. Ethan was left in the tower to die. Allison followed them and shot and killed Patrick. Then Jack had followed Conner and Hannah into the fire. He was hurting her until Conner came out. He distracted Jack so Hannah could hit him with a pickaxe. They left him in the fire while they ran. They made it into water and had to stay under the water till the fire passed them. Allison and Ethan were sitting on the tower with gas masks on. The scene changes to Hannah holding Conner in the water while he's sleeping with burnt ruins around them. He wakes up and they start going back to the tower. There are rescue crews in a helicopter circling and they see the tower. They parachute down and find Allison and Ethan. Ethan is dead but she's ok. They get all of them out and the scene changes to them sitting in an ambulance. The FBI and government officials and news crews come. Conner is crying but getting the courage to tell the news. His dad told him if anything happened to him to tell the news and anyone who will listen what was on the paper he gave him. The movie ends with Conner wiping his tears to go talk to them. Angelina Jolie plays Hannah. When I think of Angelina Jolie I think of Maleficent not this character who is cussing and everything else. I really liked this movie. The secret has something to do with the congressman having something to do with the mob. That's the only thing I didn't like is that I was never told the secret. I did like how they didn't tell us the secret in the beginning because that gets you to watch the movie to find out and it gets you interested. I would definitely recommend this movie.
*DISCLAIMER MOVIE WITH SEXUAL CONTENT*
This is the third movie in the series. I have seen this movie before but my friend hadn't so I watched it with her for the first time. This movie starts odd with Christian and Ana getting married. I want to marry a billionaire too. They go on their honeymoon to all of these different countries. While there, Christian gets a call saying someone broke into his penthouse. They saw that it was Ana's old boss, Jack. So they had to back home. Ana was given a personal bodyguard too. When they get there Anna makes dinner even though they have a personal chef. Anna goes back to work the next day. She is the boss at a publishing company. Ana didn't change her last name at work. Christian was upset over this but Ana explained that she didn't want to be known just for her last name but then she gives in and does it anyway. Christian surprises her by giving her control of the publishing place which he owns. He has to go to New York for business and told Ana to stay home. She goes against that and instead goes to a nightclub with her friend. When she gets home she finds Jack, her old boss, tries to abduct her. Christian flies back immediately and instead of being all loving making sure she's ok he yells at her and tells her how stupid she was by going to the nightclub. Ana is angry and they go to bed angry. Eventually Christian apologizes and surprises her with a trip to Aspen with friends. During that trip Christians older proposes to his now fiancé. When they get back Christian throws Ana a surprise birthday party and gives her an Audi R8. They get into yet another fight but this is because Ana tells him she is pregnant. He was yelling at her saying she did this on purpose and he's not ready to be a father. Then she finds out that he got a text from his ex-girlfriend. Apparently his ex is the one who introduced him to the world of BDSM. Which is what the whole series is set around. Christian goes away on business again but this time Ana gets a text from Jack telling her that he is going to kill Christian's younger sister if he doesn't receive $5 million in 2 hours. Ana goes to the bank and gets the money but they had to alert Christian. She goes but Jack shoves her to the ground and kicks her in the stomach. She manages to shoot him in the leg before blacking out. She wakes up in the hospital and she finds out the baby is ok. It skips 2 years and shows they have 2 children and they are so happy. I really like this series and not in that way. I usually don't just go and watch sport movies. It's not that I don't like them, I do, it's more of a family type of movie. And of course I watched this movies with my parents because my dad turned it on. It's about Sean Payton the head coach of the Saints football team, who gets suspended and goes to coach his son's football team. When he goes back home to Texas he finds out his son's football team sucks and I mean sucks. It wouldn't be a football movie without a bad team becoming the underdog. Mind you this movie was produced by Adam Sandler and his industry. When Sean goes back he sees his ex-wife, Beth had married a new man Jamie. Beth is played by Jackie Sandler, Adam's wife. Jamie is a special type of person. He is like the high dude that's always in the background. The current coach of Conner's team (Sean's son) is Troy Lambert played by Taylor Lautner. This team hasn't scored a single point. Sean becomes part of the coaching staff. What could go wrong, a kids team being coached my an NFL coach with a super bowel under his belt. You would think everything would be fine and dandy but no. Even with the new playbook and coach, they lose the next game. Of course the whole reason was because these kids are young and don't understand the complex plays of the NFL. Then he instead used food references to help them understand the plays. I think that's really smart. They start winning too and Sean and Conner are getting closer. Dennis is one of my favorites, but this poor boy is terrified of contact. They epically lost to the team The Porcupines. They are rivals so that's a big game. This other kid on the team Harlan is so cute!!! He has this crush on this one girl who always comes to his games. This kid is the kicker that can't kick the ball. He's so little and when see's her he gets really nervous. So the football team went out to help him. They go to her house and Harlan sings for her while the team holds lanterns. Well long story short the lanterns catch the tree on fire which falls on the girl's car. To top it all off they weren't even at the right house. That was the best thing I've ever watched. They had another game and they needed to win this game to advance to the championship. Well Jamie gave the team these bars he invented. At the game the team started projectile vomiting all over the field. The ref was telling them they need to forfeit but they refused. There was vomit everywhere but they won lol. So it was time to play the Porcupines again. Sean was so geared into winning and the game was really close. This is the last game of the season. If they get a touchdown they win. Conner yells at his dad saying that he is so focused on winning that he isn't seeing the need of the players. With only a few seconds left Sean put in Harlan. If they make the field goal they could tie the game. When Harlan gets up there to take the kick he sees his crush. Here is the part in all sports movies that they tie it and some how. But NOPE. Harlan takes the kick and ROYALY MISSES AND BLOWS UP THE SCOREBOARD. They are all cheering, not because they won which they didn't, but because their mistakes did something really cool lol. They got second place and they could care less. Conner and Sean fixed their relationship. Sean was reinstated for the Saints. The last scene shows Sean in his office with a few of the Saints stadium. Then it shows his super bowl trophy. HE PUTS HIS SECOND PLACE TROPHY IN FRONT OF IT AND MY HEART MELTED. That says so much and I love it. I really liked this movie because it was funny and it wasn't a predictable sports movie. It wasn't about the bad teams who become good. This was about a bad team becoming good but still losing in the end but they were happy. I don't think that is taught enough in movies. I would definitely recommend.
This blog isn't going to be long because this movie was so incredibly stupid. First off in the first Texas Chainsaw Massacre a group of teenagers stumbling upon an abandon house. THIS IS NOTHING LIKE THIS MOVIE. THERE IS NO ABANDON HOUSE. THEY WERE SLAUGHTERED IN A CAR. There are meat hooks in the first one. There was actual suspense. There was no meat hooks. There was only one thing that was the same LEATHERFACE. THAT'S LITERALLY IT. In the original he had a sledge hammer, axe, chainsaw, and meat hooks. In the new one there's no slaughterhouse or anything. Sally is forced to eat human flesh but NOT IN THE NEW ONE. THEY TOOK OUT ALL THE GOOD PARTS. In the new one there isn't even the same characters. I don't understand why Sally came back in the first place. She escaped WHY WOULD SHE RETURN. Lila, one of the characters, was involved in a school shooting and I don't know why they added that in there. He slaughtered a bus of people and that was the most graphic thing in that movie and that wasn't even much. Sally used Melody and Lila to lure out Leatherface. SHE LITERALLY STOPPED HIM TO TELL HIM WHO SHE IS INSTEAD OF JUST KILLING HIM. They thought they killed him with his own chainsaw BUT NOT HE CAME BACK. THIS MAN SURVIVED A CHAINSAW TO THE NECK. They thought they were safe but then HE CAME BACK AND CHOPPED MELODY'S HEAD OFF AND LILA JUST DROVE AWAY. WHAT A PLOT TWIST. I hope they don't make a sequel to this because that would just be so repetitive. I just want him to die but I feel like that won't happen. I found this movie super boring and I don't recommend.
Hailey and Abby both talked about this movie and I felt like I had to watch it. It started off not like I was expecting. Vada and Nick were late to school because they got coffee. They went to class when Vada got a text from her sister. She said it was an emergency. I thought this was the part of the school shooting but nope she just got her period. Vada went to the bathroom and Mia was in there. She was the most popular girl in the school. Vada did was she needed to do and walked about but that's when she heard shots. She ran back into the bathroom and her and Mia stood on a toilet. They were terrified and so was I. Then Quinton came in all bloody. The girls asked him if he was shot and he said no my brother. I got this feeling in my chest when he said that. This is a part of school shootings they don't show in movies. The texting bubbles made it more realistic too. Vada was depressed. She wouldn't get out of bed and I don't blame her. Nick decided to start a podcast to spread awareness. Mia was at her mansion without her parents. Vada and Mia started talking because they had gone through the same thing. She went over to Mia's house and she was amazed. When Mia offered Vada a glass of wine it made me laugh because what teenager is going to drink wine. They hit it off so to speak. Mia didn't want to be alone. They swam, smoked weed, laid in the sauna, and laid in bed together. Vada left and her parents made her to go a therapist. She ended up really liking her which I'm glad about because good therapists are hard to come by. She went back to Mia's but she was lying to her parents saying she was going to Nick's. Vada went back to Mia's house and there they ended up kissing. This weirded me out solely for the fact that Mia is played by Maddie Ziegler. They did more than kissing but they both had alcohol and weed in their systems. Vada woke up and rushed home because she was in a state of shock I guess. Her parents were worried and asked her where she was. She said she was at Nick's house but then they said no because Nick has been calling because he's worried about you. Then she runs into her room and has a fight with her parents. Her dad took her to a spot over looking everything and they started cussing and yelling and just releasing all of their problems. I thought it was so cute and I wish I could do that with my dad. The next day she went to hang out with Quinton to make sure he was doing ok after his brother's death. She ended up kissing him but it's not what he wanted. She got out of the car and kept apologizing and ran off. She went to Mia'a and the door was unlocked. The place was trashed but she couldn't find her. Vada found her in the sauna passed out with empty wine bottles around her. Mia thought Vada was mad at her after they hooked up. She said she's afraid to be alone. Mia was going to go back to dance classes. Everything seemed fine. Vada had a really good sessions with her therapist. Vada saw Mia after one of her dance classes. They were texting and she was happy. Then she got a news notification saying there had been another school shooting. You just she the fear and panic on her face and that's where it ends. It was a really good movie. I think they ended it like they did because no matter how healed one suffering is, there's always another one. School shootings have become more and more common and it's absolutely terrifying. No student should jump at the sound of a dropped textbook. I hear a bang in school and my heart starts racing. It should never be that way but that's the world we live in.
I want to start off by saying that I absolutely love love love this movie. It was so cute and it put me through a whirlwind of emotions. When it started out they made it seem like they were the perfect little family. Sheryl went to the hospital to pick up her brother, Frank, who tried to kill himself. I'm thinking wow that turned dark fast. Then Olive comes into the picture. She wasn't pretty like you would have thought looking at the beauty contestants. They had a cute meal together that was a little awkward. Dwayne, Olive's brother, took a vow of silence because he wanted to be in the airforce. Grandpa does crack lol. The dad, Richard, is in my eyes a horrible person. He had a lot of personal growth throughout the story. Olive got a call saying she won a spot in the Little Miss Sunshine pageant. This family drove from ARIZONA TO CALIFORNIA IN A VW VAN. WHEN THE VAN BROKE DOWN AND THEY HAD TO PUSH IT AND RUN TO GET IN IT I WOULD LITERALLY DIE EVERY TIME. It was so funny. They stopped at this diner on the way. Olive ordered waffles and ice cream. Her dad HAD THE AUDACITY to tell her that skinny, pretty girls don't eat ice cream and she was going to get fatter if she ate it. THAT MADE ME SO ANGRY. YOU DON'T SAY THAT TO A CHILD. But her family all took bites and made her feel ok about eating it. They went on their way. Sheryl and Richard were arguing still. Frank is the comedic relief in my mind. The next place they stopped was a rest stop gas station. Richard's deal fell through on his job which meant he wasn't getting paid. THEN THEY LEFT OLIVE THERE. So they had to circle back and get her. They stopped at a hotel for the night. Dwayne and Frank in a room. Olive and grandpa in a room. Sheryl and Richard in a room. I love the relationship Olive and her grandpa have. He told her she was beautiful and she is amazing. Olive started crying and said she can't lose because her dad doesn't love losers. It made me so so so sad. Frank looks out for Dwayne and tries to distract him from his parents arguing. Grandpa went into the bathroom and and he pulls out a bullet. My first thought was like omg no please no. I'm still a little confused as to why he killed himself in the first place. Richard left and took a moped to drive 20 something miles to see his boss. When he got there his boss was like no sorry I can't do anything. So he drove back on that same moped and went to bed. Olive woke them up saying Grandpa won't wake up. I WAS LIKE NOOOOOOOOO I LOVED HIM. They went to the hospital and he was pronounced dead. The hospital wouldn't let them take the body back to Arizona. SO THEY STOLE HIM AND PUT HIM IN THE BACK OF THE VAN. They had to be in California by 3. They are driving and get pulled over by a cop because their horn was stuck. The cop went to look in the trunk and found porn magazines. He started talking about HOW THOSE WERE HIS FAVORITE. I literally was like ew no. He didn't find the body. Olive was testing to see if Dwayne was color blind. They realize he is and Frank told him you can't fly a plane in the air force if you're color blind. Dwayne started panicking and he ran out of the car and started screaming. He was so upset because that was his dream. Olive gave him a hug and they kept driving. They made it to the highway in front of the hotel. They got off the exit at 2:55. They had 5 minutes to get to the hotel and check in. Richard drove the van through plants and ropes and everything and they ran in to check in. It was 3:05 and they said the registration was closed. He started pleading saying how much they had been through. So this other guy put them into the system and Olive went to get ready. There were all of these pageant girls there with the extravagant dresses, hair, makeup, fake tan and Olive was there with none of that. She had this bathing suit that looked like a gymnast leotard. In the line up she wasn't as pretty as the other girls. She was awkward and didn't know what she was doing. When she went to get ready for the talent Frank, Dwayne, and Richard saw the talent of the other girls. They went to try and convince Olive not to compete and they will love her no matter what. She was bound and determined. Her music started and it looked like she was going to do a cute little routine. She even dedicated it to her grandpa who taught her everything she knows. BUT THEN SHE STARTS DOING THESES RAUNCHY DANCE MOVES AND RIPS OFF HER PANTS. The pageant director was trying to get her off the stage. But Olive's family went up and started dancing with her. It was so cute. The police let them off with a warning as long as they never went to another pageant in California again. So they started on their way home. I loved this movie so much. It made me laugh and want to cry all at the same time.
